There Can Be Joy in the Ordinary

It was brought to my attention the need for more than the mundane had become a battle for me. I became aware of this part of myself as I watched my 8-year-old in her lunchtime struggle. Girlfriend desired and still does desire inspiring lunch options. Her lunch issue caused me to look inward; I, too, struggle with the need for excitement to make life more thrilling and worthy.

G is for Grace

 Grace has taken over.  It has caused me to stop and think about what it really means.  I didn't intentionally seek to learn more about grace, but here recently it comes up in many conversations.  It is hard to have a conversation about something that you haven't taken the time to learn about for yourself.  I have taken the challenge to learn more about the grace which is freely given.

E is for Eva

She's been a part of our family for nearly five years.  It wasn't in our plans to add a dog to our family.  We met Eva at PetSmart while picking up a container for a butterfly chrysalis.  The girls asked if we could look at the cats and dogs a local shelter had brought in for adoption.  We went to "look" at the dogs, and a little voice said, "Eva needs a family, Mommy."  That's the story of how we became a dog family.
