E is for Eva

Eva became part of our family almost five years.  It wasn't in our plans to add a dog to our family.  We met Eva at PetSmart while picking up a container for a butterfly chrysalis.  The girls asked if we could look at the cats and dogs a local shelter had brought in for adoption.  We went to "look" at the dogs, and a little voice said, "Eva needs a family, Mommy."  That's the story of how we became a dog family.

She stays by my side while I create jewelry.

Eva is awesome.  She is patient.  For example, today she didn't eat her first meal until nearly 11 because of a mishap with the food we purchased for her.  We found out today that some dog food can be infested with bugs during manufacturing. Talk about gross. Anyway, she patiently waited for us to get her more food this morning {thankfully, Petco exchanged it for us and we only paid the difference for the new food}.  She's loyal.  She's gentle.  She is excitable which can be annoying, but it's not too bad.  She's peaceful.  She's obedient except when there's something she just really, really wants to get like a bird, squirrel, or rabbit.

Sometimes her walks look like the photo above.  She appreciates the heat of the sun.

Eva is a wonderful addition to our family, and we can't imagine our lives without her.  She's not just a dog, but a part of our family.
